An attempt is being made by the wife of the late George Kunse, of Mexico, to break the will of deceased, which leaves the bulk of the estate amounting to over $30,000 to charitable institutions.
The trail came up at Peru today and J. J. Briggs, J. C. Cockburn, A. J. Robinson and Dr. J. B. Shultz, of this city, were in attendance as witnesses. All are said to be prepared to testify that deceased was not in his right mind at the time of making the will. He was amember of St. John Commandery of this city, and was formerly in business here.

It is Decided at Peru Yesterday for Plaintiffs.

The celebrated case of Mary Ann Bell and John C. Bell vs. Winnie Kunse et al. was decided at Peru yesterday in favor of the plaintiffs. The verdict sets aside the will made by George P. Kunse, deceased, and his estate of $16,000 will now have to be divided according to law. Deceased at one time resided here and was well known by many of our citizens. The jury found that he was not in full possession of his mental faculties at the time of his making the will. The verdict will cut Fred and George Givens, of this city, out of $500 each.

Newspaper: Indianapolis Star: Strange "Hoodoo" Hangs Over the Town of Mexico and Brings Death to Its Citizens by Suicide and Accident., 15 Jul 1906, Indianapolis, Marion, IN. 5 George Kunse, who lived on the banks of Eel River, died suddenly and grief drove his wife to end her life by taking poison. J. B. Kunse, a son of George Kunse, committed suicide a few days ago by hanging himself.
