5. Newspaper: Daily Times: Wedding Dress Is Worn Down Aisle For Third Time At Rich-Beeker Vows, 29 Dec 1959, Burlington, Alamance, NC. 5 When Frances Rich walked down the aisle of Low's Lutheran Church Sunday to become the bride of Marvin Beeker, it was a new experience for her, of course.
But for the dress she wore it was a twice-repeated performance.
There are three children -- all girls -- in the W. A. Rich family, and Frances, the third, wore the same dress that her sisters, Janet and Bernice, had worn in their weddings.
The dress was first worn by Janet (Mrs. Thomas Lines) on July 18, 1954, then by Bernice (Mrs. Bobby Sharpe) on July 31, 1955.
Following the precedent set by her sisters, Frances also had Mrs. Mary Roberson as wedding director. Mrs. Roberson's first experience with directing chores was at Janet's wedding, but she has become a veteran of many weddings since that time, and was especially pleased to direct the third Rich sister's wedding.
Frances was attended by her sisters in the wedding Sunday, just as they had been attended by her and each other in their weddings.
