Sgt. Robert B. Holder returned yesterday to Camp LeJeune, N. C., after a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Holder, and attending the funeral of his grandfather, the late John T. Beeker, in Winfield.

Funeral will be Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at noon at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike King officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Cemetery.

Mr. Holder was born Aug. 5, 1936 in Decatur to Robert Ryan Holder and Mary Beeker Holder.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Holder; daughter, Sharon DeCurtins and husband, Michael of Decatur; three granddaughters, Mary Grace DeCurtins, Aimae Elizabeth DeCurtins and Adeline Pearl DeCurtins, all of Decatur; one sister, Mary Underhill and husband, Tom of Birmingham; and one niece, Beth Underhill of Birmingham.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
