S. Wallace W. Bigler, 61, died Sunday morning at 6 o'clock at his home in Pleasant Hill of heart disease. He had been ill for about three years.
Mr. Bigler was born in Shippensburg in 1875. He spent most of his life in this section, where he worked as a laborer. Mr. Bigler was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Bigler earned a town-wide reputation as a fiddler. On numerous occassions he played for square dances, and he could manipulate the instrument in many positions, even behind his back.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Bigler, one brother, George Bigler, and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Lehman; three children at home, Margaret, Sarah and George Bigler.
The body may be viewed Monday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock at the M. Garfield Barbour Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
