Hopkins, 74, of Mercersburg, PA, died Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 30, 1941, at Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Dorothy Sipes Henry of Huntingdon, PA and the late Carl C. Nelling. Cheryl was a 1959 graduate of James Buchanan High School. As a nurse, she practiced with Dr. Simmers of St Thomas and later Dr. Magbojos of Chambersburg She retired as a geriatric nurse after having worked at local nursing homes. Her personal interests included bingo, reading, cryptograms, and she was a NY Yankee fan. Cheryls grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were her heart. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Larry L. Hopkins, whom she married June 27, 1959; four children, Lisa L. and husband Michael Beecher, Dodyt K. Hopkins and companion Raymond Hornbaker, K. Todd and wife Michele Hopkins, and Jill R. and husband Maurice Quivers, all of Mercersburg; four grandchildren, Jaron Quivers, Karissa Quivers, Monica Hopkins, and Lance Hopkins; two greatgrandchildren, Laiken Quivers and Haiden Quivers; a brother, Terry and wife Cathy Nelling of Clear Ridge, PA.
