Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Earl E. and Bertha Hartman Davis, He was owner and operator of Davis Appraisals Service, was a lifetime member of the Carlisle Fish and Game Association and member of the Keystone Snow-goer Club. Surviving are his wife, Anna Murray Davis; three sons, Shane M. Davis, at home, Wayne Davis, Jr., San Francisco, Calif., and Dwayne Davis, Carlisle; a step-son, Allen Davis Sr. Grace, Dillsburg; four sisters, Anna Windemaker, Harrisburg; Evelyn Calaman, May Brenneman and Shelva Raudabaugh, all of Carlisle; two brothers, Eugene Davis, and Lester Davis, both of Carlisle; two grandchildren and a step-grandchild. Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home 219 N. Hanover St. with the Rev. Kenneth O. Hoke officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Twp. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Wayne married Anna May Murray, daughter of Chester Charles Murray Sr. and Ella Marie Becker.
