OTTERBEIN -- Former Otterbein resident, Miss Alma Leona Brown, 82, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Home Hospital, Lafayette, following an illness of one year. A department store clothing buyer, she had returned to Lafayette from Okmulgee, Okla., upon becoming ill and resided five months in Turtle Creek Convalescent Centre, Lafayette. Miss Brown had formerly been employed by Loeb's, Neumode and the Juvenile Shop in Lafayette and Wasson's in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Christian Church, White Shrine of Jerusalem Bethany 8 of Lafayette and a 54 year member of Beulah Chapter 102 Order of Eastern Star of Otterbein. There are no immediate survivors.
