Newspaper: News-Pilot: Thomas Beecher in Army, 21 Nov 1963, San Pedro, Los Angeles, CA. 3 Army Privates First Class Larry E. Brubeck, 19, and Thomas E. Beecher, 18, of Wilmington, provided support in Gemany for a NATO field training exercise a part of Operation Big Lift which ended Nov. 5. Brubeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orlas F. Brubeck, 219 W. 235th St., is a lineman in Company C of the 16th Signal Battalion near Butzbach. He entered the Army in December, 1962, and received basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. Brubeck was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. before arriving overseas in July of this year. He is a 1962 graduate of Phineas Banning High School. Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Beecher, 1019 E. "0" St., is a mechanic in the 68th Ordnance Company near Zwiebrucken. He entered the Army in October, 1962, received basic training at Fort Ord, Calif. and was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. before arriving overseas in May of this year. Beecher is a 1962 graduate of Phineas Banning High School. Thomas married Yolinda. |
