Anthony Waldfogle, a widely known resident of the southern section of the city, died at eleven o'clock Tuesday evening, at his home in the First ward, from heart trouble. He had been seriously ill for the past two weeks, and his condition was such that the family had been prepared for the end. Mr. Waldfogle was 63 years old, a native of Germny, but had been a resident of this city for many years. He was engaged in the business of excavating, retiring from an active business career with the introduction of more modern methods in his particular field of labor.
Mr. Waldfogle leaves his wife and six children, as follows: Mrs. Christian Wertz, Mrs. Otto Scheetz, Mrs. Robert Newman, Anthony and George Waldfogle, all of this city, and Mrs. Adam May, Altoona.

Well Known Resident of This City
Passes Away After A Brief Illness.
Anthony Waldfogel who has been a familiar figure in this city for many years, died at the Good Samaritan hospital on Tuesday night, aged 63 years. Death was due to pneumonia, superinduced by heart trouble.
He was for many years a resident of the Long Lane region south of the city. For many years the was engaged in the odorless excavator business.
He was a native of Germany but located in this city many years ago. He is widely known.
Besides his wife, Matilda, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Chrstian Wertz, Mrs. Otto Sheetz, Mrs. Robert Newman, of this city; Mrs. Adam May, of Altoona, and Frederick and George Waldfogel both at home.
This is the third death in the Waldfogel relationship in less than two months. A granddaughter, Mrs. Frank Seltzer, daughter of Mrs. Wertz, died at the age of 18 in July. A few weeks ago her month old daughter, Anna May Seltzer, followed the mother in death.
