Mrs. Vannie Bucher, wife of J. Caspar Bucher, and a former resident of this city, passed away at 6:45 o'clock this morning at her home, 31 Market street, Lewisburg. She had been ill two weeks and death resulted from complications.

Since 1905 she had been a resident of Lewisburg and was widely known about the town. Her death comes as a shock to relatives and friends as she was endowed with a fine Christian character and was held high in the esteem of those whom she came in contact.

The daughter of the late Percy D. and Catherine Burrell, she was born at Dalmatia. When a young girl, her parents moved to this city and she received her education in local schools. Mrs. Bucher was a graduate of Sunbury high school and was a member of the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church until her death.

Her father, it will be remembered, was the proprietor of the Clement house on Third street, which is now called the Hoffman house. In addition to her husband, the deceased is survived by a son, Abbott Green Burrell; a sister, Mrs. Mary White, niece and nephew, Mabel and Harry White, all of Washington, D.C.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from her late residence. Burial will be made in Pomfret Manor Cemetery. Rev. Herbert Connop, of Selinsgrove, rector of the Episcopal church, will be the officiating clergyman.
