Therapy Student Engaged To Wed
Robert G. Bucher of Windy Bush Manor Farm, Newtown, Pa., has announced the engagement of his sister, Yvonne Vollmer Bucher, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert Bucher, to Mason C. Linn Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mason C. Linn of Ivyland, Pa. A Fall wedding is being planned.
Miss Bucher graduated from Centenary Junior College and the University of Pennsylvania where she was a member of the Class of 1953. She is now completing her training In occupational therapy at Gallinger Hospital in Washington, D. C., and will graduate in June.

In a double ring ceremony in the Penns Park Methodist Church. Saturday afternoon at half past o'clock, Miss Yvonne V. Bucher, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Bucher, Windy Bush Manor Farm, Newtown, R.D. became the bride of Mason C. Linn Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mason C. Linn, Ivyland.
The Rev. Henry Woll, Llanerch, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Thomas B. Eversit, pastor of the Penns Park Church.
Frederick S. Woll. another uncle of the bride, Wynnwood, was at the organ and accompanled Robert McInroy, the soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Dr. Robert G. Bucher, Newtown. She wore a gown of imported embroidered viss organdy, fashioned with short sleeves, fitted bodice, and off-shoulder neckline. Her full skirt of plain organdy featured a redingote front and fell into a long train.
She wore 2 Juliet cap, from which tell a long tulle veil trimmed with applique, which had been worn by her mother. She carried a white orchid on a new testament.
Miss Sally Bucher, Newtown was maid of honor for her sister. She wore light blue organdy over taffeta in a gown fashioned with fitted bodice, short sleeves and peter pan collar. Her skirt was ballerina length.
She wore a floral, headdress and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow and white pompoms with blue nylon streamers.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Stanley Smith, Newtown, and Mrs. Howard Naylor, Wycombe, both pisters of the bride, and Miss Cornelia E. Linn, Ivyland, junior bridesmaid, sister of the bridegroom. The two bridesmaids wore yellow organdy, ballerina length gowns in a floral design,fashioned as that of the honor attendant. The junior bridesmaid wore blue organdy.
All carried cascade bouquets of yellow and white pompoms with ribbons matching their gown, and used floral headdresses.
Charlotte Linn, Ivyland, sister of the groom and Diana Smith, Newtown, niece of the bride, were flower girls. They wore yellow dotted swiss frocks with full skirts, puffed sleeves and high necklines with peterpan collars. Each carried a basket of assorted flowers.
Robert S. Bucher, Newtown, nephew of the bride was ring bearer. James K. Linn, Ivyland, brother of the groom was best man.
Ushers were F. Louis Woll, Wynnewood, cousin of the bride, Robert McInroy, Reading and Arthur Kempt, Metuchen, N. J.
A reception at Windy Bush Manor followed the wedding ceremony, after which the couple left for a honeymoon trip in New England. Upon their return they will live at 204 E. Washington ave., Newtown.
The bride is an graduate of Doylestown High School, Junior Centenary College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Occupational Therapy. The groom is a graduate of Council Rock High School and Bucknell University.

3. Obituary: Bolock Funeral Home on 17 Feb 2017 in Cresco, Monroe, PA, United States. 5 Yvonne B. Linn, 85, of Mount Pocono, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at Pocono Health System Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of Mason C. Linn, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Anna (Woll) Bucher. Yvonne was a graduate of Centenary College and the University of Pennsylvania where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy. She was one of the founders of the Ecumenical Hunger Ministry and active with the Monroe County chapter of Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Mount Pocono United Methodist Church, sang in the church choir for over 50 years and led the cherub choir for 35 years. She loved music, birds, flowers, and was an amateur artist. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Gregg Linn and Roberta Hanley of Pottstown, PA, Gary and Janice Linn of Webster, NY, Douglas and Carolyn Linn of Ellicott City, MD, and Peter Linn of Nashville, TN; daughter, Donna Hepner and husband Daniel of Downingtown, PA; grandchildren Brad, Katie, Erin, Elizabeth, Molly, Laura, Melissa, Monica, and Denise; and great-grandson Finley. She was predeceased by one brother and four sisters. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Mount Pocono United Methodist Church, 12 Church Avenue, Mount Pocono. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Cresco.
