Andrew Dougherty, World War I veteran of Powderly, will be buried in Union Hill Cemetery tomorrow morning. The 56-year-old American Expeditionary Forces veteran died in a Montgomery hospital.
He had been ill for more than five years. He was member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie May Priester, Chattanooga; Mrs. Mary Jane Vintson, Misses Betty Fay and Dorothy Louise Dougherty, all of Birmingham, and four sons, G. H. Dougherty, Cherry Point, N. C.: Pfc. J. W. Dougherty, U. S. Army, Japan. and Alfred and Charles E. Dougherty, both of Birmingham.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel. Services at 9:30 a.m. will be at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Walter Tobin officiating.
