Born January 29, 1947 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Sidney Levinstein and the late Helen Kahn Levinstein. Mark grew up in Chester, PA and graduated from Nether Providence High School. Following high school, Mark served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany.
Following his military service, Mark worked at Boeing on their mainframes using the computer skills he learned in the Army. He worked for several family businesses starting with The Soda Rental Service followed by Wolf Paper Company. Decades later, Mark worked at the Neighborhood Visiting Nurse Association at West Chester, Med Surgical, and finally Giant before retiring.
Mark enjoyed technology having once built a television from a kit. He owned one of the first home computers and in the mid 80s taught his sons how to write computer code at a young age. Mark was described by many as a great guy, a kind-hearted man, and a guy with a terrible, corny sense of humor that often elicited both groans and laughter as the same time. One of his favorite pastimes in recent years was spending time with his many grandchildren and great-grandson. Rather than talk sports or stocks with his peers at family functions, Mark could always be found on the floor with the children goofing around, telling bad jokes, and playing. Even at age 75 with advanced cancer, Mark was still young at heart, was non-threatening to even the shyest kids, and was both interested and interesting.
Mark is survived and greatly missed by his wife Eileen; his brothers Steven (Jodi) Levinstein and Terry (Joyce) Levinstein; sons Mike Levinstein (Leah) and Joe Levinstein, their mother Myra Baylin; his stepson, Jordie (Rose) Beacher and step daughter, Jane Seymour; his niece Tara (Eric) Lindholm and her sons Alec, Michael and Logan; his nephews Adam Levinstein (Michelle), Matthew Levinstein (Lauren) and Ross Levinstein; his grandchildren Ryan, Sage, Lindsey, Sam Jonah, Eitan, Yael, and Ruby; his great-grandson, Brady; and his great nieces and nephews Sammy, Jacob, Madelyn, Riley, Reese, and Cy.
Services and Interment will be private.

Mark married Mary Eileen Hoag, daughter of Kenneth Penfield Hoag and Rose Marie Callaghan, on 17 May 1997.¹ (Mary Eileen Hoag was born in Jun 1947 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA.)
