Requiem High Mass was celebrated Thursday at St. Joseph's Church at Milton for John S. Callaghan, 76, former Milton resident, who died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth P. Hoag, at Springfield, Montgomery County.
Interment was in the church cemetery at Milton. Officiating was Rev. Raymond E. Dougherty, pastor. Relatives acted as pallbearers.
A sister of the deceased, Mrs. Claire Fleming, was unable to attend the funeral as she has been a patient in a hospital at Camden, N. J. A brother, Thomas Callaghan, also has been ill at Buffalo, N. Y., where he lives and was unable to make the trip to Milton.
Among the relatives present were Mrs. Rita Hough and daughter, Elizabeth, Camden, N. J.; Mr. and Mrs. Hoag, Springfield; Miss Margaret Callaghan, Buffalo; Leo Thornton, Maryland; Lee Divel, Williamsport, Ann Callaghan, Morristown, N. J.: John S., Jr., and Joseph P., Williamsport; and Dr. Philip J. Callaghan, Altoona.

John married Jane Marie Relehan. (Jane Marie Relehan was born on 14 Feb 1881 in Lock Haven, Clinton, PA,^{4 5} died on 30 Sep 1944 in Williamsport, Lycoming, PA ^{4 5 6} and was buried on 3 Oct 1944 in Williamsport, Lycoming, PA ⁵.)
