(Schlappich) Bashore, Bethel Township; his sons: Glen D., Reading, Brian J., Temple, Dennis H., Bernville, and Barry L., Bernville; his two granddaughters; his sisters: Ellen (Schlappich) Zerbe, Reading, Elsie (Schlappich) Bare, Lebanon, and June (Schlappich) Eagen, Wernersville; and, his brothers: George, Bernville, and Roy, Houston.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Hetrick Funeral Home, Womelsdorf.

Hiester married Blanche Zeller, daughter of Robert Zeller and Mary E. Gingrich. (Blanche Zeller was born in Jul 1930 in , , Pennsylvania, USA and died after 2024.)
