He was married to Caterina (Santoro) Maida for 62 years last December. He was a tailor for both the London Shop and Joseph's, Easton, before retiring in 1978. Born in Petrizzia, Italy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vitoria (Umbrello) Maida.
He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Survivors: Wife; sons, Joseph of Phillipsburg, Anthony of Easton; daughter, Vicki Derk of Palmer Township; seven grandchildren, eight great -grandchildren. Services: 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. Mass, 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the e church. Call 8:15-9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Contributions: Phillipsburg Emergency Squad.
