Living with him is wife Polly, 31 and Samuel Bucher, 7, who must be Jesse's nephew of brother Samuel H. since Jesse's wife never birthed any children according to her 1900 census record. Also with them are non-family members: Joseph Landis, 18; Jacob Frymyer, 27; and Harriet Stettler, 9.

Next door is Elizabeth, 25, married to Samuel Kurtz, 35, and daughter Sarah, 7 months. [Note: Could this Elizabeth be Jesse and Reuben's sister, daughter of Samuel born 1793?]

Next door is Elizabeth, 25, married to Samuel Kurtz, 35, and daughter Sarah, 7 months. Could this Elizabeth be Jesse and Reuben's sister, daughter of Samuel born 1793?

Everyone except William has an occupation: "works in hat factory". Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

Mary married Harvey S. Farlow. (Harvey S. Farlow was born in 1862 in , , Pennsylvania, USA,⁵ died on 10 May 1929 in Adamstown, Lancaster, PA ⁵ and was buried in Adamstown: Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, PA ⁵.)
