Obituary: Allentown Democrat: obituary of Uriah Diehl on 10 Nov 1897 in Allentown, Lehigh, PA. 4 Uriah Diehl, who lived with his son Horace near Cetronia, died on Tuesday of last week, and was buried in the cemetery attached to the Morgenland Church last Friday afternoon, Rev. Dr. E. J. Fogel officiating. The cause of death was disentery, after an illness of ten days. He brought his age to 65 years and 8 days. He was a widower, and is survived by two sons -- Horace, of Cetronia, and Frank, or Allentown. He was a member of the Lowhill Mutual Aid Association, four of the members of which acted as pall bearers, viz., Benjamin F. Heilman, Phaon Baer, Willoughby Buchman and Jonathan Haaf.

Uriah married Catherine Kneitz. (Catherine Kneitz was born about 1840 in Macungie Twp., Lehigh, PA 2 and died in Jun 1873.)
