2. Obituary: in 1991. MRS. LOVINA PERRIGO. Lovina Bucher daughter of Milo and Mary Ann Bucher, was born in the town of Catlin, Chemung county, October 27, 1845, and departed this life July 3, 1911. She was one of a family of twelve children, two of whom died in infancy. Of the ten who grew up to maturity, she is the first to be taken away by death.

The decedent was married to John Perrigo, August 29, 1864. To them were born two children, William Perrigo and Mrs. Ida Ostrander both of Catlin.

Early in life Mrs. Perrigo embraced the Christian faith and some twelve or fourteen years ago, definitely experienced the grace of entire sanctification, since which time, until prevented by the illness which finally caused her death, consistently witnessed both by her personal testimony and by a victorious, humble, godly life that the gospel has lost none of its power and that Christ can save from all sin even here in this present life. Surely "The memory of the just is blessed."

The funeral service was conducted at the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Lavina Bucher and Milo Bucher Jr. were siblings descended from Milo Bucher Sr. and Mary Ann Kimble, very early residents of Catlin.

Lovina married John Perrigo on 29 Aug 1864. (John Perrigo was born about 1844 and died on 22 Jun 1915 in Chambers, Chemung, NY.)
