Sally committed suicide. Jacob was not home all day and upon his returnabout dusk, he discoovered the young baby crying in the crib and themother hanging dead in the loft. She had thrown a rope over one of therafters and had hung herself.

Sally married Edward Jacob Bucher, son of Adam Franklin Bucher and Susann Elizabeth Settle. (Edward Jacob Bucher was born on 14 Aug 1868 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA,¹ died on 18 Sep 1954 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA ¹ and was buried in McKnightstown: Flohr's Lutheran Church, Adams, PA ¹.)
