In the Sunbury American newspaper, dated March 17, 1876, was this death notice:

"In this place, at the residence of her son-in-law, Henry BUCHER, Sr., Rebecca HARP, aged about 77 years."

This indicates that a Henry Bucher Sr. married a Harp, but is that the Henry W. Bucher born 1825 who married Malinda ?, or the Henry D. Bucher born 1842 who married Louisa C. ?

1. Census in 1880 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA. ¹ Henry Bucher, 37, laborer, is living with wife Louisa C., 28; daughter Irma J., 5; and Joseph Henry, 11, whose relationship is "other" and whose surname appears to be Henry. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

Louisa married Henry D. Bucher, son of Martin E. Bucher and Lucy Ann Arnold. (Henry D. Bucher was born on 17 Nov 1842 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA ^{1 3 4} and died on 4 Mar 1910 in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA ⁵.)
