2. Census in 1860 in E. Vincent Twp., Chester, PA. ² Albert D. Simpson, farmer and teacher, 31, was married to Lavina, 30. Living with them: Genevieve, 7; Sallie, 6; Edward, 4; Frances, 1. Also in the home was 14-year old Margaret Frederick. Albert's home was valued at $4,500 and possessions worth $860.

Next door is probably Albert's father, Edward Simpson, farmer and former stove keeper, 62; wife Catherine, 62; and daughter Emma Catherine, teacher, 18. Also with them: Morris Kelly, farm laborer, 17; and domestic Kate Bromback, 22. Everyone in all households were born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Pottstown, Pa.

Lavina married Albert D. Simpson, son of Edward Simpson and Catherine, on 30 Dec 1852 in Phoenixville, Chester, PA.¹ (Albert D. Simpson was born about 1829 in , Chester, PA ².)
