Samuel Becher, farmer, 66, is with Sally, 50; and son Ezra, 22. Also in the home: Samuel Mellinger, hired, 17; Robert Given, 13; Rebecca Winehold, maid, 30; Sarah Mellinger, 14; and Elizabeth Mellinger, 8. Samuel's real estate was worth $8,600 and possessions $4,900.

Next door is John Becker, farmer, 62, with wife Elizabeth, 58; Martin, 25; and Jacob, 19. Also in the home: Cassie Stoever, maid, 16; George Hernix, 12; and Susanna Eberly, 82. John's real estate is worth $11,250 and possessions $1,200.

Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office is Rheinholdsville.

The neighbors on this and surrounding pages are Mellinger, Shirk, Landis, Eberly and other surnames that are known to have married into the descendents of Benedict Bucher of West Cocalico, we know this Samuel and John are related to him.
