Henry J. is not listed in The Bucher Family book, but appears in several census listings, so he certainly existed.

1. Census in 1870 in S. Lebanon Twp., Lebanon, PA. ¹ In 1870 in South Lebanon Township, Henry Bucher Sr. and Henry Jr. were living side by side, as neighbors to other Bucher families.

Henry Sr., 72, retired farmer, was with wife Elizabeth, 65; and daughter Lavina, 36. His real estate is worth $4,000 and possessions $600.

Henry Jr., farmer, 34, was with wife Catherine, 24; Monroe, 5; Henry J., 3; Solomon, 2; and Aaron, 4 months, born in April. His real estate was worth $300 and possessions $500.
