Everyone was born in Pennsylvania except Rachel was a Maryland native. John had no real estate value and his possessions were worth $150. The post office was Columbia.

2. Census in 1880 in Columbia, Lancaster, PA. ³ John Bucher, working in saw mill, 51, was living with Rachel, 47; Mary, 23; Alice, 21; and Joseph, 19. Rachel was born in Maryland, the others in Pennsylvania. The listing was in the 2nd Ward, Columbia, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
