Living with them: Priscilla, 13; Elias, 11; Amanda, 9; George, 7; son Amandus, 6; Emeline, 4; Irvin, 3, Jessiah, 1. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. His real estate was valued at $6,000 and possessions worth $2,500. The post office is New Hanover.

3. Census in 1870 in New Hanover Twp., Montgomery, PA. ⁴ Josiah Buchert, farmer, 51, was married to Susan, 46. Living with them: Priscilla, 24; Washington, 18; Amandus, 16; Irwin, 13; Josiah, 11; Alexander, 7; and Amelia, 5. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. His real estate was valued at $15,000 and possessions worth $8,300. The post office is New Hanover.
