Census in 1900 in Liberty Twp., Fulton, IN. ⁶ The 1900 census recorded Peter Madary, 48, born Dec 1852, living with wife Emma, 31, Mar 1869; daughter Vernis, 11, Dec 1889; and daughter Hazel, 5, Feb 1895. Peter and Emma were married for 12 years and she had birthed 2 children by 1900, both alive that year. Peter was born in Ohio and his parents in Switzerland. Emma and her parents were born Indiana.

3. Census in 1920 in Adams Twp., Cass, IN. ⁷ The 1920 census recorded living on M. Swank Road: William Bucher [indexed wrong in census since two handwritten e's look like a u], farmer, 51, living with wife Emma C., 51; and son Kenneth W., farm labor, 16. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana except William's father in Pennsylvania and mother in Ohio. Next door is William's nephew, Clinton Beecher, 35, with his family.
