Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except John's parents were born in Germany.

2. Census in 1940 in Reading, Berks, PA. ⁵ The 1940 census recorded renting for $20 a month at 535 South 10th Street in Reading: John Chmura, teacher at WPA school, 32, living with wife Dora, 35; sons Carl, 11, and Fred, 10; and daughter Rita, 7. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. They lived in the same house in 1935.

Census in 1950 in Reading, Berks, PA. ⁶ The 1950 census recorded at 1129 Cotton Street: John Schmura, foreman inspector in auto frame manufacturing, 42, living with wife Dora, 45; sons Carl, capper in recapping tire garage, 21; Fred, 20, time clerk in auto frame manufacturing; and daughter Rita, 18. Newspaper: Reading Eagle, 11 Jun 1970, Reading, Berks, PA. ¹⁰ Two charges of forgery and fraudulent conversion against Carl Schmura, formerly of the 300 block of N. 9th street, were dropped when the prosecutor in the case told the court he did not intend to press the charges. Schmura was brought to the courtroom from the Wernersbille State Hospital, it was reported.

Harry Royer will officiate and burial will be made in Aulenbach 's Cemetery, Mount Penn. Mr. Schmura was a Navy veteran of World War II.
