Obituary: Valley Times-Star: obituary of Rebecca Jane Pechart on 2 Mar 1960 in Newville, Cumberland, PA. 7 Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Rearick funeral home in Newville for Mrs. Rebecca Jane Pechart of Newville R. R. 1 who died Friday morning at the home of her son, Merle Pechart of Harrisburg. She was 92 years old.
Mrs. Pehart was born at Newville R. R. 1 on Jan. 11, 1868 and was a daughter of the late Phillip and Mary Elizabeth Fleger Beecher. She was a widow of Edwin W. Pechart. She was a life long member of the Hays Grove Evangelical United Brethren church.
Surviving are two sons, Merle of Harrisburg and Charles of Dauphin R. R. 1; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Raudabaugh of Carlisle R. R. 5 and Mrs. John Stevens of Newville R. R. 1; two foster daughters, Hazel and Dorothy Carnes; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Rev. Jacob Zepp officiated at the services. Burial was made in Hays Grove cemetery.
