Census in 1910 in Salford Twp., Montgomery, PA. 2 Living on Allentown Road in Salford Township in 1910, the census lists Corson K Nase, cigar maker in a cigar factory, 25, married 5 years to Mary W. Nase, 21. She had given birth to 2 children, 1 still living in 1910: Mamie, age 3. Mary's birth place is France-German, as is her father's. Her mother's appears to be "Ger - German". [We note on other pages this census enumerator often wrote "Ger (German)".] Conrad and his parents were born in Pennsylvania. Mary immigrated in 1901 and could speak English in 1910 and read and write. Family stories mention that Mary came to America with her maternal grandmother, but we see no one who could be her on nearby census pages. Mary married Carson K. Nase, son of John Nase and Emily, <1905> in Salford Twp., Montgomery, PA. (Carson K. Nase was born on 21 Aug 1883 in Salford Twp., Montgomery, PA and died in Nov 1966 in Telford, Montgomery, PA.) |
