He was born in York County, son of the late Monroe and Lillie Doll Berkheimer and was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church; West York Post, 8951, VFW, and POS of A.
In addition to his widow, he leaves a son, Dale B. Berkheimer, Leola; a foster son, Jerry B. Weaver, at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Berkheimer, 2340 Croll School Road and Clare Berkheimer, Dover RD 4, and two sisters, Mrs. George Glessner, 29 N. Oxford St., and Ada Berkheimer, 225 N. Williams St.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Robert F. Koller Funeral Home, 2000 W. Market St. His pastor, the Rev. Robert K. Shaull, will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the York County Cancer Society.
