1. Census in 1850 in Butler Twp., Adams, PA. 11 The 1850 census recorded Henry Weigle, tanner, 25, living with wife Lucy, 23; daughter Jane, 0; and Alexander Miller, 14. Henry's family was in the dewlling house headed by Catherine Shank, 24, and Mary, 3. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

2. Census in 1860 in Butler Twp., Adams, PA. 12 The 1860 census recorded Henry Weigle, tanner, 35, living with wife Lucy A., 30; Henry G., 7; George E., 6; David S., 4; and Anna M., 2. Also in the home was Alexander Biger, journeyman tanner, 35. Next door is Lucy's brother, Samuel Beecher, paper maker, 40, with his family. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

3. Census in 1870 in Frederick, Frederick, MD. 13 The 1870 census recorded Henry Wigle, lime burner, 48, living with wife Lucy A., 42; and son George, works in lime quarry, 16. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

5. Obituary: Altoona Tribune: Henry Weigel Killed By Train on 22 Nov 1883 in Altoona, Blair, PA. 15 Horribly Mangled.
A horrible accident occurred last Thursday, by which Henry Weigle lost his life. The accident happened on the Pennsylvania railroad, a short distance below Lochiel bridge, near Harrisburg. Two trains were passing at the time and it is supposed the man did not know of the presence of but one, as he attempted to cross the track directly in front of engine No. 64.
His head was crushed, his left arm torn from his body and his entire person was cut and mangled beyond recognition. An inquest was held and a verdict of accidental death rendered. Deceased was a bricklayer and was returning from his work at Steelton. He was a man about 60 years of age and resided on West State street near Front, Harrisburg. He was a brother-in-law of Mr. Samuel Beecher, of this city, and had many friends here.
