Perhaps the overwritten surname is changing Bugher to Bucher.].

2. Census in 1870 in Jefferson Twp., Preble, OH. ¹ Nicholas Bucher, farmer, 66, was living with wife Catharine, 67. Both were born in Pennsylvania. Nicholas' farm was worth $4,000 and possessions $300.

Next door is his son, Henry Bucher, farmer, 25, and wife Martha Jane, 25; son Sylvester, 6; son Leeander[?], 4; and daughter Monie E.[?], 2. Henry was born in Maryland, everyone else in Ohio. Henry had no real estate value and his possessions were worth $400.
