4. Obituary: News Sentinel on 11 Jul 1955 in Rochester, Fulton, IN. 1 Frank E. BUCHER, 88, lifelong resident of the Disko and Laketon communities, died at 7 p.m. Sunday at the home of his son, Harmon BUCHER, three miles east of Akron. He had been in failing health for the past three years.
He was born July 7, 1867, near Disko, to John and Matilda (TROUTMAN) BUCHER. Mr. Bucher was thrice married, first in 1889 to Margaret ZELLERS, who died in 1922; second, in 1924 to Effie GOCHENHOUR, who preceded him in death in 1943. His last marriage was to Ollie HOFFMAN, who died in 1948. Mr. Bucher was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God.
Survivors are two sons, Harmon and Rolla [BUCHER], both of ner Akron; ten grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. A son, John [BUCHER], died in 1949.
Final rits will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Silver Creek church with the Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery.
Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home in Akron until noon Tuesday, at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
