David has no real estate value. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. Neighbors are 70-year-old John Altlande and his wife Elizabeth [nee Deardorff], 64 whose farm is worth $3,000. Two households later are the Deardorffs.

4. Census in 1860 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA. 11 David Beecher, farmer, 44, was living with wife Elizabeth, 49; Mary, 18; Elizabeth, 15; Sophia, 14; Lydia, 12; John, 9; Sarah, 7. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. David's real estate was worth $3,000 and personal estate $1,000. The post office was Mummasburg.

Census in 1870 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA. 16 The 1870 census recorded David Beecher, farmer, 56, living with wife Elizabeth, 60; Mary, 25; Elizabeth, 23; Sophia, 22; John, farm laborer, 18; and Sarah, 16. Also in the home was farm laborer Francis Dittenhafer, 18. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. David's real estate was valued at $10,000 and personal estate at $2,500. The post office was Mummasburg.

6. She signed a will on 2 Nov 1871 in Butler Twp., Adams, PA. 17 In the name of God, Amen. I Mary Altland, single woman, of Butler Township in the County of Adams in the State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, and desiring to dispose my estate, whilst in the enjoyment thereof do make and publish this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking and declaring void any former will by me heretofore made and declaring this only to be my will and Testament and first I direct my body to be decently buried in the discretion of my Executor and further I direct that all my just debts be first paid and the settling of my estate out of the first moneys that may come into the hands of my Executor And as to such estate as it hath plea God to in trust me with I dispose of the same as follows; viz
I give and bequeath to my sister Salome intermarried with Henry Wiser the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars
Item I give to Daniel Wisler, their son the sum of One hundred dollars.
Item I give to their daughter Leah and Sarah Wisler each the sum of Fifty dollars, and should either of them her legacy to go to her mother & her heirs
Item I give and bequeath to my sister Elizabeth who was intermarried with and is now the widow of David Beecher, or should she die before me, then to said Peter Bucher, the note for two hundred dollars, with all interest thereon, which I hold against said Peter Beecher being a sealed note bearing date the same day of March A.D. eighteen hundred and fifty six, and with interest thereon from date, except the payments credited thereon
Item all the rest residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed I give devise grant and bequeath unto my niece Elizabeth Wisler a daughter of my sister Salome and Henry Wisler, having already in my lifetime granted and conveyed to her by deed in fee simple my mansion property situate in Butler Township Adams County Pennsylvania on which I now reside, the said tract containing twenty seven acres and ten perches not measure be the same more on as with the mansion house & other improvements thereon erected and adjoining lands of Isaac Royer, Henry Wisler and others together with the appurtenances - the same having been in consideration of my being indebted to her for her care and services indeared to me by my said niece, since the decease of my father. And my provision for her by my will is made in consideration of kindness and services rendered me and as further reward therefore, and I also hereby confirm said conveyance to said Elizabeth Wisler my esteemed friend George Herone to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, with power to make deed of confirmation
In Witness whereof I Mary Altland the Testatrix have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal this second day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and seventy one
