Further research needed to find his parents. Noted events in his life were: 1. Census in 1860 in West Cocalico Twp., Lancaster, PA. 1 John Bucher, 4, was living in the household of a tavern keeper, Henry Regereise [see handwriting on census page, chance it might be another surname], 66, and his wife Maria. With them: stonecutter Peter Regereise; Samuel, 23; and Rebecca, 19. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Reinholdsville, PA. |
