She resided at 4630 North Twelfth street, Philadelphia.
Mrs. Hughes resided in Pottstown 23 years ago. She was a daughter of Annie R. (Gresh) Beecher, 248 North Charlotte street, and the late Myers C. Beecher. Beside her mother the following brothers and sisters survive: Bertha, at home; Mrs. Alice Willoughby and Mrs. Anna Yost, both of Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. at the funeral parlors of Oliver Bair, Philadelphia. Interment will be made in Forest Hills cemetery.

The sum of $1000 was bequeathed to a sister, Alice B. Willoughby, who "helped me bear my troubles" and a like amount to a brother-in-law, not named, for "his graciousness to us during our life."
Mrs. Hughes died in Jewish hospital, June 19, of a heart attack caused by a fracture of the skull and compound fracture of the leg received when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver. She had resided at 4630 North 12th street.
