Miss Thelma Beecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beecher, Pine street, Hanover, and John Spangler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Spangler, Littlestown R.D., were united in marriage Sunday afternoon in Frederick, Md. The ceremony was performed in the Bechtel Pentecostal church by the pastor, Rev. H. B. Rittenhouse. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Yingling, Smiths Station, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, and was attired in a gown of brocaded satin, princess style and with a train. She wore a fingertip veil crowned with a coronet of seed pearls and carried an arm bouquet of red and white roses. The matron of honor wore a gown of blue chiffon and her flowers were pink roses and delphinium. Following the ceremony, the wedding party returned to Hanover where a reception and buffet luncheon were served to members of the immediate families and a number of invited guests.

Thelma married John Warren Spangler, son of Earl Edgar Spangler and Ruth Marie Harman, on 30 Aug 1942 in Frederick: Bechtel Pentecostal Church, Frederick, MD.^{1 2} (John Warren Spangler was born on 22 May 1921 in Germany Twp., Adams, PA,⁷ died on 6 Sep 1983 ⁷ and was buried on 9 Sep 1983 in Marburg: Dubs Cemetery (St. Paul's Dubs Cemetery), York, PA ⁷.)
