Mrs. Catherine Ryan Beecher, 92, widow of Parris Beecher, died this morning in the Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She had been in the hospital four days.

Mrs. Beecher lived most of her life around Coatesville and came to Claymont 11 years ago to live with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Smith, 11 Seminole Avenue.

A native of Ireland, she was a member of Atonement Methodist Church in Claymont.

In addition to Mrs. Smith, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Charles M. Jackson, Springfield, Pa., and Mrs. Benjamin J. Marsh, Coatesville; two sons, Joseph Pyncheon by a former marriage and James Beecher, both of Coatesville; two step-children, Mrs. Mamie Chambers, Lancaster, and Edward Beecher, near Coatesville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Clark, Morristown, N. J., and Mrs. Nora Campbell, Long Island; 11 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

The Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Jackson, pastor of Atonement Church, will officiate at services Monday at 2 p. m. in the S. Paul Roberts Funeral Home, 1030 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, where friends may call Sunday after 7 p. m. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
