It was accompanied to that place by Mr. Richrdson. It was planned by Mr. Richardson and his wife to make that place their future home before her death, and he will reside there hereafter.

Geo. Bornsehlegel, September 16, at the German Baptist church near the brides residence. Mr. Richardson is an old settler of Lincoln county, Miss Rich resided at Blue Hills, Mitchell county, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson are now located in the north part of our city. The Sentinel joins with their many friends in congratulations.

Alphus had been married twice and to Anna for 2 years, it being her first marriage. Anna was the mother of 1 child who was no longer living. Alphus and his mother were born in Virginia and his father in Pennsylvania. Anna and her parents were born in Germany. Allen was born in Kansas, his father in Virginia, and mother in Indiana.

7. Obituary: Lincoln Republican: obituary of Alphus W. Richardson on 27 Apr 1916 in Lincoln, Lincoln, KS, United States. 3 Alphus W. Richardson was bom at Shelby Springs, West Virginia, August 24, 1870 and died in Lincoln, Kansas, April 19, 1916, aged forty five years, seven months and twenty four days. He came to Kansas in 1883 and had lived in and around Lincoln nearly all this time and was well and favorably known. He had many friends, being of a social and conversational disposi tion. He was a member of the Lincoln band for a number of years. For several months past he had been in poor health and finally decided that it was necessary to undergo an operation. The operation was performed and he survived but a few hours. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, two children, one brother and numerous friends. The community join in extending their sympathy to the bereaved ones.


Alpheus married Hattie May Allen, daughter of Wilson D. Allen and Almina Beecher, on 14 Mar 1894 in , Riley, Kansas, United States.
