1. Obituary: The National Field: obituary of Hattie May Allen Richardson on 28 May 1906 in Salina, Saline, KS. 3 A DEATH YESTERDAY.
Mrs. Richardson Passed Away at Yeager Home.
Mrs. Hattie M. Richardson, wife of Al W. Richardson, died yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock at the home of Dave Yeager, comer Iron and Ohio streets, East Side. Although Mrs. Richardson had been sick for some time, her death yesterday was quite unexpected. Two weeks ago a child was born and since that time Mrs. Richardson had been ill. She was able to leave her bed some days ago but later suffered a relapse. Yesterday she felt unusually well and was talking to her husband a few minutes before her death. Just before 4 o'clock, he left her, apparently getting rapidly better and, went out to the barn to do some work. A few minutes later he was hurriedly called to the house and found his wife dying.
She passed away with scarcely a struggle. Mrs. Richardson was born in Indiana thirty years ago. When but a child she came to Kansas and most of her life was spent in the Sunflower state. About six weeks ago she came to Salina and has since been living at the Yeager home.
She is survived by her husband and two children, one but two weeks old. She has a brother in the Philippines and a sister who was in the San Francisco earthquake. She also has brother at Delhart, Tex., and a sister in Kansas City who are expected here. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made but it is expected that the remains will be interred at Manhattan. The deceased was a member of the Christian church.
