Peter Bucher born about 1805 in Switzerland http://www.searchtrees.com/tree/11581.htm is probably related. In the 1870 Census he is living next door to Washington Bucher, whose father John was born 1802 in Pennsylvania.

Also in the home was Mary Bucher, 90. John, Amanda and Mary were born in Pennsylvania, Jef. in Ohio, and the others in Virginia. His real estate was worth $700.

3. Census in 1860 in , Hancock, VA. ³ John Buehr, farmer, 57, was living with wife Amanda, 45; Jefferson, farmer, 20; Washington, 15; Mary, 13; Saml, 10; Emaline, 7; John W., 1. His real estate was worth $3,000. The parents were born in Pennsylvania, Jefferson in Ohio, and the others in Virginia. The post office is East Liverpool, Ohio.

4. Census in 1870 in Taylor Twp., Greene, IN. ⁴ Peter Bucher, farmer, 65, was living with wife Margaret, 64; William, farmer, 29; Abraham, farmer, 27; Ruben, farmer, 22. Also with them: Ceclia Broward, 13. Everyone was born in Switzerland except Ruben and Ceclia in Indiana. His farm was worth $3,200 and personal estate $2,275.

Next door is Washington Bucher, farmer, 26, and wife Sarah E., 20; and John J., 10 months when the census was recorded on 30 Jul 1870. He had no real estate and his personal estate was worth $150. Washington was born in Virginia, his wife in Pennsylvania, and their son in Virginia.

Everyone was born in West Virginia except Sarah in Pennsylvania. Her father was from Ohio, her mother and Washington's mother from Pennsylvania. His father was born in Maryland.

Amanda Bucher, 65, was living with daughters Mary, 33; Emiline, 28, and Alice, 20. Amanda and her parents were born in Pennsylvania, her daughters in West Virginia.

Samuel Bucher, farmer, 30, was living with wife Ella, 27; Bertran, 6; Mary, 4; Lucy, 2, and John, 2 months. Everyone was born in West Virginia except Ella in Pennsylvania. Samuel and Ella's parents were from Pennsylvania.

[page faded]; and Paul, 8, ? 1882. Washington, was born in West Virginia, his parents in Pennsylvania. Sarah was born in Pennsylvania, her parents in Ohio. Ellena, William and Alice were born in West Virginia, the other children in Ohio.

Thelma and her father were born in Ohio.
