Census in 1880 in Butler Twp., Adams, PA. 1 The 1880 census recorded that following the death of their mother, Elizabeth Beecher Master, her two children were living with their aunt and their paternal grandmother. The household was headed by Theadore Orner, farmer, 33, with wife Louisa [nee Master], 31; and their children Mary Orner, 8; John Orner, 6; and Maggine Orner, 0. Also in the home: Louisa's nephew, Daniel Master, 6; and niece, Martha Master, 5; and Louisa's mother, Master Master, 66, and Theadore's mother Sophia Orner, 56. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania, except Mary Master in Germany.
