His remains were brought here on the 10 o'clock train Monday morning and interred in the New Oxford cemetery, after which services were held in the First Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. F. Hesse, officiating. Jacob married Mary Catherine Beecher, daughter of David Beecher and Elizabeth Altland, on 7 Nov 1872.
