Census in 1930 in Monterey, Monterey, CA. 7 The 1930 census recorded owning a $2500 home at 561 Broadway: William Bucher [indexed wrong, handwriting is Beecher], laborer in fish cannery, 53, living with wife Emma, 47; son William Jr., machinist in fish cannery, 25; daughter-in-law Mary, 23; and grandson William 3rd, 4. The child and his mother were born in California, the others and their parents in Pennsylvania. Mary's father was born in Nevada and mother in Texas.

William Jacob Beecher, Jr., seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Beecher of Los Angeles, was fatally Injured Christmas day in an automobile accident near Hollister, while the family was en route here for a holiday visit with relatives in Oak Grove
When about four miles from Hollister a tire on the Beecher car blew out as it was crossing a bridge. The side of the car crashed against the superstructure of the bridge, the Impact shattering a glass wind wing. a fragment of which penetrated the lad's head behind his ear. He was rushed to a Hollister hospital, where he died a few hours later.
The boy, who was the Beechers' only child, was born in Monterey where his parents had lived for the last 15 years. His father was employed by the Guy P. Atkinson company on the local breakwater until a short time ago when he was sent to Southern California on another project.
Funeral services were to be held 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Paul mortuary, with interment in El Carmelo cemetery. An inquest will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday more ing in Hollister.

William was born in Pennsylvania, Mary in California, Jackie in Oregon, and Stanley in California. They were living in Portland, Oregon, in 1935. Mary and William were high school graduates.

5. Census in 1950 in Oakland, Alameda, CA. 10 The 1950 census recorded at 9A 8th Street: William J. Beecher, welding pipe at steel window factory, 44, living with wife Mary E., 43; sons Jack J., paperboy, 15; and Stanley J., paperboy, 12. William was born in Pennsylvania, Mary and Stanley in California, and Jack in Oregon.
