Mrs. Mary A. Beecher Chambers, 83, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Keenen, 246 1/2 S. Queen St., with whom she resided. Death followed an illness of two months. The widow of Charles F. Chambers, she was born in Coatesville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paris Beecher, and was a resident of Lancaster for the past 50 years. Besides her daughter, Elsie, the wife of Samuel Keenen, with whom she resided, she is survived by one brother, Edward Beecher, Coatesville; one half-brother, Joseph Pension, Coatesville; one step-brother, James Beecher, Coatesville; three step-sisters, Mrs. Ruth Jackson, Springfield, Pa.; Nora, wife of Paul Smith, Wilmington, Del., and Edna, wife of Richard Marsh, Coatesville; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.


Mary married Charles Frederick Chambers, son of Godfried Chambers and Mary Guyer, on 30 Jul 1910 in Carroll, Maryland.
