1. Census in 1880 in West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill, PA. 5 The 1880 census recorded Daniel Reigel, farmer, 77, living with wife Liddia, 65. They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Daniel's son, Joshua Rigle, farmer, 45, is listed nearby with his wife Hannah, 35; son Elias, farm hand, 20; daughters Joanna, 8, and Ann G., 1; and sons Dora, 5, and Joshua, 2 months old born in April 1880. They and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.
2. Obituary: Pottsville Republican on 26 Mar 1904 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania, United States. 4 Mrs. Lydia Riegel, aged about 88 year, died last evening at the home of John W. Evans, 567 East Market St. The lady has been suffering with blood poisoning for some time past. She was a grandmother to Mrs. Evans. The funeral will take place Monday. The only surviving relatives are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dunn, President Judge of the said Court:\emdash The petition of Susanna Deibert, Sylletta Gerber, Executrix of the estate of Lewis Reigel, deceased, John A. Gerber, administrator of the estate of Elizabeth Gerber, deceased, Charles F. Rapp, executor of the estate of Hannah Neischwender, deceased, and Mary Gangloff, respectfully represents:\emdash That Daniel Reigel, late of the Township of West Brunswick, Schuylkill County, deceased, died on the 20th day of January, 1881, seized in his demesne as of fee of and in certain real estate, situate in the Township of West Brunswick in said County, a portion of which said real estate is hereinafter more fully described; That on the 8th day of October 1881 Joshua Reigel and Lewis Reigel, children and heirs of said Daniel Reigel, deceased, presented a petition to the Orphans' Court of said County, praying for a partition of the real estate of said deceased; That in pursuance and by virtue of a decree of said Court in partition of the real estate of the said Daniel Reigel, deceased, Purpart No. 2. Bounded and described as follows, to-wit:\emdash All that certain tract or piece of land, situate in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, adjoining lands of Alfred Smith, George Adam, Levi Reigel, Martin Schaeffer, James Seigfried and others, containing forty-four acres more or less, with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, having been refused by the heirs, was ordered and directed to be sold by the executors of said estate, who exposed said real estate to public sale and sold the same to Elias Reigel of North Manheim Township in said County for Eighteen hundred and thirty dollars, which sale was confirmed by the Court on the 24th day of April 1882; That the said court ordered and directed that said tract or Purpart No. 2 be sold "subject to the payment of the interest of seven hundred and forty dollars, at the rate of six percent payable semi-annually, to be and remain in said purpart No. 2, according to the tenor of an ante-nuptial contract and will" which said ante-nuptial contract was dated the 13th day of November, 1878, and recorded in Schuylkill County, in the Recorder's Office, in Miscellaneous Book No. 15, page 659, and which said ante-nuptial contract sets forth that the sum of Two thousand dollars was to remain in the real estate of the said Daniel Riegel for and during the natural life of the said Lydia Weaver, afterward Lydia Riegel, and of which amount seven hundred and forty dollars was by the Court's decree ordered to remain in said purpart No. 2. That the said executors of the estate of Daniel Riegel, by their indenture dated the 24th day of April, 1882, and recorded in the Recorder's Office in and for Schuylkill County, in Deed Book No. 167 page 155, conveyed said tract or purpart No. 2, unto the said Elias Riegel, the purchaser, and that by sundry deeds and conveyances the said real estate has become vested in Solomon Heine of the Township of West Brunswick, in said County, who is the present owner of the same; That Lydia Riegel (nee Weaver) widow of Daniel Riegel died on the 25th day of March 1904, whereby the principal sum of seven hundred and forty dollars charged on purpart No. 2 as aforesaid became due and payable to the heirs-at-law of the said Daniel Riegel, deceased; That the said Daniel Riegel had twelve children eight of whom were living at the time of his death, to-wit:\emdash Joshua Riegel, Lewis Riegel, Rueben Riegel, Hannah Neischwender, Catharine Smith, Susanna Deibert, Elizabeth Gerber, Mary Matilda Herman, and four of whom died previously to the death of the said decedent, to-wit:\emdash Lydia Schell, Priscilla Smith, Daniel Riegel, and Elias Riegel, And that according to the audit and distribution of funds paid into the Orphans' Court of said County, in the said estate of Daniel Riegel, deceased, to No. 1, September term, 1904, the heirs-at-law of said decedent were found to be Hannah Eckert, Daniel Riegel, Charles Riegel, Elias Riegel, Estate of John Riegel, Dory Riegel, Oscar Riegel, Harvey Riegel, Angemima Riegel, Calvin Riegel, Estate of Joanna Miller, Estate of Lewis Riegel, deceased, Rueben Riegel, whose share was awarded to the estate of Lewis Riegel, deceased, Estate of Hannah Neischwender, deceased, Catharine Smith, Susanna Deibert, Estate of Elizabeth Gerber, deceased, Mary Gangloff, assignee of Mary Matilda Herman, deceased, William Schell, Jane Keim, Catharine Berger, Estate of Daniel Schell, deceased, Elizabeth Snyder, Daniel Riegel, Mary M. Riegel, and Mary Heisey; Whereupon your petitioners showing that they are parties in interest, in the sum of money charged on the above described piece or purpart of real estate, by the above recited proceedings in the Orphans' Court, in said County, in partition of the real estate of the said Daniel Riegel, deceased, and payable on the death of the said widow, Lydia Riegel, who is now deceased, and that said amount remains unpaid, pray your Honorable Court to order and direct the payment of the principal sum of seven hundred and forty dollars, with interest from the 25th day of March 1904, by Solomon Heine, the present owner of the said real estate, and to make such other order and decree for the payment thereof, out of the said real estate, as may be just and proper; And they will ever pray etc. Sylletta Gerber (nee Riegel) Executrix of Lewis Riegel estate.
