Newspaper: Delaware County Daily Times: Councilman's Daughter Bridge of West Philadelphia Man, 28 Aug 1930, Chester, Delaware, PA. 1 A recent wedding of much interest to residents of Darby took place at All Saints' Episcopal Church, Main and Summit streets, when Miss Helen May Beacher, daughter of Councilman George W. Beacher and Mrs. Beacher, 107 South Sixth street, became the bride of Charles Piper, of West Philadelphia. The record of the church, the Rev. George F. Krantz Jr., performed the ceremony, which was witnessed by many relatives and friends of the bride and bridegroom.
The bride was attended by Miss Dorothy Myers, of West Philadelphia, as bridesmaid, and the best man was George Beacher Jr., a brother of the groom [sic, should be bride]. The ushers were Jack Polfker and William Martin.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white satin and carried lillies and roses. Her bridesmaid was attired in light green chiffon and carried pink roses.
Following the ceremony the bridal couple left on a wedding journey by motor and on their return they will reside at the home of the bride's parents.
