She was born in New Castle, a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Hepner) Beacher. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Pottsville; and the Adult Fellowship.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children, John L. Sullivan, Pottsville; Robert J. Sullivan. Levittown; June, wife of Robert Portland, Levittown; Lillian, wife of Frank Valent, and Geraldine, wife of Paul Stoudt, both of Pottsville; a brother, Charles Beacher, Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Caroline, wife of Harold Callaway, Pottsville; Mrs. Cora Lloyd, Deer Lake; 19 grandchildren.
Funeral Thursday afternoon from the First United Church of Christ, Pottsville. Rev. Chester Brachman, officiating. Interment Schuylkill Memorial Park. Morgan Home for Funerals has charge.

Lillian married William Reese Opie, son of James Phillips Opie and Annie Jeremiah, on 5 Apr 1915 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA.^{1 2 3} The marriage ended in divorce on 19 Feb 1918.
