1. Newspaper: Daily News, 21 Sep 1996, Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. ¹ Robert A. and Mary Hoffman, 6 West Washington Ave, Myerstown, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 21, 1946 in the Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchburg, by the late Luther M. Schaeffer.
Mrs. Hoffman, the former Mary Beidler, is a daughter of the late Robert and Miriam Beidler, Robesonia. She is a retired bank teller and enjoys reading and being a homaker. Her husband is a son of Betty Hoffman, Myerstown, and the late Adam Hoffman. A retired school teacher and athlteic director, his hobbies are golf, reading, and travel.
He is a member F & A.M. Lodge 307, Richland Am. Legion, Myerson VFW, Central PSHF Chapter. The couple are members of Christ Lutheran Church. They have three children, the late Yvonne, Mrs. Richard Zeigler; Renee, Mrs. Gary Bicher, Myertown; Peter R. Hoffman, Virginia Beach, Va. They have three grandchildren, Kim Dunkelberger Potts, Jim Dunkelberger, Nathan Bicher and one great-grandchild, Cassandra Potts. A drop-in celebration at their will be held in honor of the occasion.
They will travel to Hilton Head Island, S. C. at a later time.

2. Obituary: Lebanon Daily News on 13 Nov 2007 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. Mary M. Hoffman, 80, of Myerstown passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, with her loving husband by her side. She was the wife of Robert "Barney" A. Hoffman, to whom she was married 61 years on September 21. Born in Robesonia on November 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Miriam Schell Beidler. She worked as a bank teller in Myerstown for 22 years, retiring in 1985. Mary loved being a homemaker and doted on her husband, children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, making her house into a home with the utmost of ease. She was an avid reader, and in her more active days, an avid walker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg. In addition to her husband and partner in life, she is survived by a daughter, Renee, wife of Gary Bicher of Myerstown; a son, Peter, husband of Nancy Hoffman of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 5 grandchildren; 3 greatgrandchildren; sisters Ruth Garloff of Wernersville, Pauline Doris of Myerstown, and Nancy Strickler of Newmanstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Ziegler, brothers Russell, Carl, George and Elwood Beidler; and her infant sister, Kathryn Beidler. A memorial services will held Friday at 3:30 p.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Family will receive friends Friday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, Attention: Mary Hoffman Memorial, 27 Longs Church Lane, Womelsdorf, PA 19569.
